Graduate Student Fellows Program

The
Council's summer Student Fellows Program is a unique opportunity for graduate students to work
directly with a leader of stature and influence, most of whom are women, to
observe first hand the ways in which leadership is manifested and to work
directly on issues being addressed by the leaders. The fellows are placed in
the offices of international organizations, foundations, major policy
institutions and the Council Secretariat in Washington, D.C., working with current and former women
presidents, prime ministers and women ministers on issues of peace, reconciliation and immigration.
The fellowship
program is currently open to graduate students from Columbia University and the
Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
Interested students may
apply for the program through the career
center at either school.
The Student Fellows program at the Kennedy School is generously supported each year by the Women's Leadership Board. The Columbia Fellows Program is funded by the Office of the President of Columbia University, Lee Bollinger.
